Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was established on December 26, 1931 at Rensselaer. Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, making it the oldest Latino Fraternity in existence. Phi Iota Alpha at the UIUC Colony was founded on November 9, 2014 by five Distinguished gentlemen. Members of Phi Iota Alpha enter into a life-long commitment to the Latin American culture. As an organization, we strive to build cultural consciousness, professionalism, leadership, and intellectual development. Our mission is to promote the movement of Pan-Americanism, and to conserve the integrity of Latin American character.
